Kirk M. Volker, M.D. graduated from Kansas State University and Hood College where he received his Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees respectively. During this time he was a member of the collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi and earned the Student Cancer Research Award. He went on to University of Pittsburg School of Medicine where he received his medical degree and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Board-certified in Dermatology, Dr. Volker completed a Preliminary Medicine internship at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and residency in dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Volker has coauthored numerous journal articles in publications including, but not limited, to the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, the Journal of Immunology and the American Journal of Pathology. His practice focuses on medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, with a special interest in the detection and treatment of skin cancer.
