Anne Arundel Dermatology Hosts Ribbon Cutting at New Westminster Office

Anne Arundel Dermatology hosted a “big scissor” ribbon cutting ceremony on April 13, 2018 to celebrate the opening of its new Westminster office and the expansion of its services – now including both cosmetic dermatology and Mohs surgery – in Carroll County.

April Rose, Maryland General Assembly District 5 Delegate, opened the event by saying how thrilled she is to have Anne Arundel Dermatology in her District. Focusing on the dangers of skin cancer, she spoke about how directly melanoma had affected her own family and stressed how important it is for all citizens – including the friends and family that she personally urges to do so – to get regular skin cancer screenings. She then handed the mic to Scott Mahosky, Anne Arundel Dermatology’s Chief Executive Officer, and told him how much she looks forward to returning for the office’s five-year anniversary.

Echoing that sentiment, Mr. Mahosky focused on the improved patient experience that the new state-of-the-art facility will allow. “We already have three of our highest-rated clinicians here in Carroll County, and with this office they’ll have one of our very best facilities,” said Mahosky. “We’re very excited for them to be able to continue to improve the lives of Carroll County resident in this great space for years to come.”

Mike McMullin, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce President, County Commissioner Richard Weaver, and Delegate Haven Shoemaker next spoke, welcoming Anne Arundel Dermatology to the new location and joining Delegate Rose in presenting Mr. Mahosky with an Official Citation from The Maryland General Assembly.

Finally, the office’s four clinicians – Dr. Marianne Dawn, Dr. Juris Germanas, Suzanne Cerrone, CRNP, and Amy Spangler, PA-C – joined these speakers at the ribbon and expressed their shared excitement at getting to work in the new office before watching Mr. Mahosky deliver the much-awaited cut to a tougher-than-it-looks ribbon.

The deed done, the evening continued as members of the public enjoyed refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, personal tours of the office by its clinicians and staff and, of course, goodie bags including some great iS clinical product samples.
