Pat Thornton MSM, RN, CNOR
Mrs. Thornton graduated from Clayton State University and Troy State University with her masters degree. She is certified and an expert in the surgical nursing specialty. Her roles and responsibilities include being a scrub nurse, operating room circulator, surgeon’s assistant, RNFA, educator and director. Mrs. Thornton earned two National Outstanding Achievement Awards from Association of PeriOperative Nurses (AORN) in education and mentorship. She also earned Perioperative Nurse of the Year from Georgia Council of Operating Room Nurses four times. She is very active locally, regionally and nationally with AORN. She continues to be an American Heart Association instructor for pediatric and adult advance life support.
