Brianna R. De Souza, MD, FAAD
Dr. Brianna De Souza received her medical degree from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, after completing her undergraduate studies in Health Science and Spanish at the University of Miami. After receiving her doctorate degree, Dr. De Souza completed her dermatology residency at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She is the winner of the Women’s Dermatologic Society Aesthetic Research Mentorship Award and the Kennedy-Hopkins Scholars Award. Dr. De Souza is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Skin of Color Society, the National Medical Association, the American Hair Research Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Dr. De Souza’s expertise is in general, pediatric and cosmetic dermatology. She specifically enjoys treating skin of color, hair loss and hair shaft disorders, and hyperhidrosis. One of Dr. De Souza’s favorite aspects of dermatology is the opportunity to make a significant impact on patients’ lives, by addressing medical, surgical and cosmetic concerns. From complex skin diseases to preventative care, the variety of cases keeps her engaged and continually learning. Dr. De Souza is motivated by the chance to treat each patient with the same care and attention she would offer to a family member, fostering a sense of trust and comfort. Her guiding values include compassion, diligence and integrity, all of which inform my clinical practice and enable me to deliver personalized, comprehensive care.
Dr. De Souza is a native Floridian – born in Tampa and raised in Orlando. She is excited to be back home to help her patients on their skin health journey. When she is not in the office, Dr. De Souza is exploring the city with her family, friends and fur baby, Cara.
