With a Master of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Nursing, Sharon began her career in dermatology in 2002. In 2008, she took the first dermatology certification exam and passed, becoming one of the first Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioners in the state of Tennessee. Sharon has received numerous recognitions, including outstanding service from the Dermatology Nurses Association’s Nurse Practitioner Society and a note of appreciation for teaching skin disorders to the Primary Care of Adult Health class at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. 

Sharon’s dermatologic expertise includes treating acne, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis, skin cancer, skin exams, rashes, granuloma annulare, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, rosacea, and warts. Sharon is motivated to help others feel more confident in their skin. She likes that dermatology allows for treatment of skin diseases, but also provides the ability to address cosmetic concerns.
