Sonja Baer, MSE, MPAS, PA-C
Sonja has worked as a state-licensed physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in dermatology since 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Exercise Science from Iowa State University. Sonja continued her education and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University, as well as a Master of Science in Education from Drake University. Before entering the field of dermatology, Sonja worked as a collegiate certified athletic trainer. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as Diversity in Dermatology.
Sonja is motivated by the desire to help others and provide the best care possible to those in need. She specializes in skin cancer detection and prevention and the treatment of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and sports rashes, as well as treatment of pediatric skin issues.
