Meet Dr. Best

Dr. LaCartia Best is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 20 years of experience. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, before completing her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Following residency, Dr. Best returned to Maryland to practice dermatology.   

Dr. Best’s dermatologic expertise includes treating acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, hyperhidrosis, cold sores and fever blisters, poison ivy, psoriasis, eczema, precancerous lesions, skin cancer, and hair loss. She is also skilled in Botox Cosmetic and dermal fillers. Dr. Best is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She enjoys promoting patient education about skin cancer prevention and practicing aesthetic dermatology. 

In her spare time, Dr. Best enjoys reading memoirs, cooking and walking her dog.
