PAs are healthcare professionals licensed or credentialed to practice medicine with physician supervision. As part of their responsibilities, PAs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, perform biopsies and treat multiple types of skin lesions, order and interpret tests, counsel patients on preventive healthcare, and write prescriptions.
