Anne Arundel Dermatology to host Melanoma 5K Walk/Run

March 10th, 2015
By Anne Arundel Dermatology

Did you know that Maryland has the 7th highest rate of new melanoma diagnoses nationwide among White residents, who are the highest risk for melanoma?

And did you know that each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon?

To demonstrate our continuing commitment to support research, education and advocacy for melanoma, Anne Arundel Dermatology is proud to sponsor the First Annual Miles for Melanoma 5K Walk/Run.

The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Kent Island High School in Stevensville, MD at 8:00 a.m. Check-in and registration will begin at 7:00 a.m.

Register early to save! Adult tickets are $30, children 6-17 years old are $20 and anyone under 5 years old is free. Early-bird registration ends on Friday, April 24 at midnight.

If you cannot attend the event, don’t worry! You can participate virtually! You will be charged a discounted registration rate since you would not participate on race day, but you are still eligible for all fundraising prizes, except for the event day Champions shirt.
