Meet Dr. C. Helen Malone
Dr. C. Helen Malone is a dual board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and dermatologist, with additional training in plastic surgery. During her second year of undergraduate training, she was accepted into the prestigious Junior Honors program at the University of Florida, College of Medicine and graduated with honors in 2009. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Malone spent several years in plastic surgery training in Springfield, IL before deciding to specialize in Mohs surgery. She completed a dermatology residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Malone worked with Dr. Richard Wagner to start a Mohs Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch and was the inaugural fellow. She spent three years teaching at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and was the director of the Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology Department before transitioning to private practice. Dr. Malone has performed thousands of skin cancer surgeries and has more than 30 publications and over 40 citations. She is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Malone takes great pride in her commitment to excellent patient care.
