Meet Lindsey
Lindsey Chernicky is a board-certified physician assistant. She brings six years of experience as a physician assistant, including more than two years dedicated to dermatology, along with a diverse clinical background in interventional radiology, general and breast surgery, aesthetics, and high-risk obstetrics research.
Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at South College, also graduating summa cum laude. Prior to physician assistant school, Lindsey contributed to research in high-risk obstetrics, with studies published in The Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, Pediatrics, and the Journal of Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
Her clinical interests include acne, atopic dermatitis, biologic management, melasma, psoriasis, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, skin cancer screenings, and wart treatment. Lindsey is passionate about patient education, collaborative decision-making, prevention, and early detection. She strives to ensure that every patient feels heard, empowered, and confident in his or her care while developing treatment plans that align with each patient’s needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Lindsey is committed to lifelong learning and staying current with emerging research, evolving clinical data, and evidence-based treatment options. She is a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates and is also a member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Associates, the American Academy of Physician Associates, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates. In addition, Lindsey has served as a preceptor for South College and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, participated on an advisory board for Johnson & Johnson, and has been a SkinCeuticals Ambassador.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband and their three dogs, gardening, working out, and cheering on the Vols.
