Anne Arundel Dermatology Helps Prevent Skin Cancer in Kent Island

August 19th, 2016
By Anne Arundel Dermatology

Despite the 115 degree weather this past Saturday, Anne Arundel Dermatology and 110 Kids participated in the 11th Annual Youth Fishing Derby at Romancoke Pier. We were so happy to help educate everyone on skin cancer prevention and provide free samples.

Sunscreen was a hit and well needed. We heard from community members, on how they didn’t know that we had an office on Kent Island and that they needed to see a Dermatologist. One gentleman gave his testament on the finding of his melanoma and he now see’s Dr. Anderson every six months. There we were several people out for a bike ride that morning didn’t know about the event and inquired about our services. All in all it was a great day. We then went to the American Legion for lunch where prizes were given. We gave “Get Naked” shirts as raffle prizes.
