A Recap of Our “Spot the Van” Campaign

September 14th, 2015
Anne Arundel Dermatology

From August 4th – September 1st, we ran our “Spot the Van” campaign. Our van was out on the road visiting the communities we serve to raise awareness about skin cancer. Some of our stops included Graul’s Market and Green Turtle in Annapolis, Rita’s in Stevensville, the Queenstown Outlets, Park Tavern in Severna Park, Wawa in Prince Frederick and the Pennsylvania Dutch Market in Hagerstown.

Our amazing staff including Dr. Allan Harrington, Melissa Veneracion, PA-C, Dr. Angela Peterman, Jamie Wotell, PA-C, Janet Benton, CRNP, Amy Hoffman, PA-C and Justin Adrien, PA-C were on sight to give sun-exposed skin screenings.

In all, we were able to screen over 175 people. And in that group, we found over a dozen suspicious lesions, as well as one case of Melanoma and Kerathoacanthoma, both of which have been treated.

We appreciate everyone who came out to visit us at our van. And a big congratulations goes out to Lisa Newland, who won our drawing for a $500 Visa gift card.

Anne Arundel Dermatology is determined to find and treat skin cancer. If you think that you have a suspicious lesion, please do not wait to get checked. Contact us today to make an appointment at one of our 13 convenient Maryland locations.
