Why You’ll Love the Benefits of a Facial Treatment

What are Facials?

Facials are applications to remove the outer layer of skin providing facial rejuvenation. The new skin exposed beneath is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. A facial uses serums and products to clean pores, extract blackheads, and moisturize the skin. Whether you are looking for a deep-cleanse, to heal acne, or brighten skin tone, a facial is perfect for you.

What are the benefits?

  • Deep cleansing
  • Reduction of fine lines
  • Healing of acne scars
  • Evening hyperpigmentation or brightening
  • Increased circulation in the skin

Why should you get them?

  • To prevent wrinkles
  • For brighter, younger looking skin
  • To improve skin conditions such as acne or Rosacea
  • To slow down premature aging

Where can you get them?

Facials and chemical peels are available at your dermatologist’s office as with other cosmetic dermatology procedures. We offer a range of facials from Obagi and SkinMedica. Although a facial and chemical peel are similar procedures, you should schedule a custom skin evaluation to determine which would be best for you.

What can you expect?

Relaxation! Some or all of the following will be performed: cleansing, skin analysis, exfoliation, disencrustaton, extractions, mask, treatment products, massage, hydration, and skin protection. Most facials are around 60 minutes long. They are recommended once a month to help aid the cell turnover process, which happens every 30 days. Consult with a skin professional to figure out what facial would be best for your skin type and what products you should use following the procedure. There is little to no recovery time following a facial.
