Dermatology & Mohs Surgery – Patient Letter

Dear valued patient:

We are excited to announce that Dermatology and Mohs Surgery Center has partnered with (and are now an affiliate of) Anne Arundel Dermatology (AAD), a larger Mid-Atlantic private dermatology group that started in Annapolis, Maryland, and is dedicated to partnering with practitioners and owners to assist and support them in the growth of their practices. Many of the physicians in AAD are former military dermatology colleagues of mine from Walter Reed and National Naval Medical Center, and the group’s philosophy of implementing best practices to achieve patient-centered, high-quality dermatologic care meshes perfectly with our mission. This synergistic relationship will provide us with increased infrastructure, and administrative/regulatory operations support, will allow us to improve our focus on achieving the highest possible quality patient care.

From a patient’s perspective, there will be no significant changes, and our office operations will be “business as usual.” All of our providers and staff are exactly the same, and you will enjoy the same provider-patient relationship that you have now. The only new modification will be where your billing statements are mailed from, which will be from our central billing office in Maryland. Our new partnership will also allow us to increase the number of insurance carriers with whom we participate.
