By Anne Arundel Dermatology

We’re so excited to sponsor the 2018 Strides Against Skin Cancer 5k/10k race and fun run! Here is everything you need to know about the run or walk, and the cause:

Who: Join us, community members and our sponsor, The Skin Cancer Foundation, in supporting skin cancer prevention, treatment and education.  Whether you are a lifelong runner, just getting your footing in running or want to bring the family along for the walk, we cannot wait to see you on the trail!

What: Runners, walkers and teams of all age and skill level are welcome to join us in raising funds and awareness for The Skin Cancer Foundation! Take the race at your own stride. The 5k and 10k can be as competitive as you want them to be. At the end of the day, the most important thing is raising funds and awareness for our cause and having fun while doing it.

Why: We’re excited to say that 100% of the donations raised by runners and community members will go directly to The Skin Cancer Foundation! Skin cancer is rising at an alarming rate, and we see it every day in the Anne Arundel Dermatology offices. In previous races, we have helped raise over $50,000 to fight skin cancer. Let’s beat that this year!

When: The run will be held on May 20th, 2018. Registration begins at 7am, and the race will run from 8-10am.

Where: The 5k/10k trail runs along the scenic Chesapeake Bay along the Eastern Shore of Maryland, on Kent Island. It’s a beautiful trail that is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike!
