Meet Dr. Riddle
A North Carolina native, Ashley Riddle, MD, MPH, is a fellowship-trained Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology surgeon and board-certified dermatologist at Raleigh Dermatology. Dr. Riddle specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer treatment and reconstruction, and comprehensive dermatologic care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Riddle earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University before completing her medical degree at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and her Master of Public Health at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She completed her preliminary internal medicine internship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, followed by dermatology residency training at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, where she served as Chief Resident.
Following residency, Dr. Riddle practiced in a private dermatology setting in Austin, Texas, and served as volunteer affiliate faculty at Dell Medical School, supervising resident-led procedural and cosmetic clinics. She then completed a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Dr. Riddle has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications in respected dermatology journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and the British Journal of Dermatology. Her academic interests include Mohs surgery, skin cancer treatment, and the prevention and management of precancerous lesions.
Drawn to Mohs surgery for its precision, problem-solving, and ability to provide definitive skin cancer treatment in a single visit, Dr. Riddle is committed to delivering care that is both technically excellent and compassionate. She values building long-term relationships with patients and approaches each patient with the same warmth and attentiveness she would offer a member of her own family.
Her areas of expertise include Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer treatment and reconstruction, skin cancer screening, moles and atypical nevi, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, warts, and cosmetic procedures, including Botox and fillers. Dr. Riddle is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
