Meet Dr. Keough
George C. Keough, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in medical and surgical dermatology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Following an internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Dr. Keough attended the U.S. Army Flight Surgeons Course before completing his dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, where he served as Chief Resident. During his distinguished military career, Dr. Keough served as Chief of Dermatology Service at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia, and was a member of the volunteer faculty at the Medical College of Georgia.
Following his military service, Dr. Keough practiced in Knoxville for more than two decades with Anne Arundel Dermatology affiliate practices, Knoxville Dermatology Group and Dermatology Associates of Knoxville. During his tenure, he cared for generations of patients, served as cosmetic supervisor for Tennessee’s Meridiem DermSpa locations, and acted as the dermatologic consultant to the University of Tennessee Sports Medicine Department. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Keough has been an active contributor to dermatology education, serving on the faculty of the Dermatology Education Foundation’s annual CME conference since its inception in 2014.
In 2025, he relocated to South Carolina and continued practicing dermatology. However, his passion for the practice, fellow providers, and patients ultimately brought him back to Knoxville Dermatology Group and Anne Arundel Dermatology.
Dr. Keough serves as Chief Medical Officer for Anne Arundel Dermatology and enjoys providing exceptional care to his patients at Knoxville Dermatology Group.
