Meet Jonathan

Jonathan Samaha, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology at Dermatology Specialists of Augusta. He began his career as a physician assistant in emergency medicine and primary care in 2013 before transitioning to full-time dermatology in 2020. Since then, he has provided comprehensive dermatologic care to patients in the Hilton Head and Bluffton, South Carolina communities. 

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Jonathan is pleased to return to his hometown and serve patients throughout the Central Savannah River Area. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Augusta University and went on to complete his Master of Physician Assistant Studies through the School of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University. 

Jonathan is passionate about the visual and hands-on nature of dermatology and finds it especially rewarding to help patients see meaningful improvement through individualized treatment. His clinical interests include the early detection and treatment of skin cancer, as well as the management of acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, and other chronic dermatologic conditions. Jonathan is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain healthy skin through thoughtful, patient-centered care. 

He is a member of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, where he holds Diplomate Fellow status. 

Outside of the office, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children. He is an outdoor enthusiast who especially enjoys paddling and fishing, and he also enjoys playing music, cooking, and making memories with family and friends.
