Meet Dr. Hanggi

Dr. Matthew Hanggi is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive training and expertise in medical and surgical dermatology. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee and his Doctor of Medicine from East Tennessee State University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. He completed his internship and dermatology residency at the University of Virginia, gaining advanced training in skin health and care.

Dr. Hanggi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the Tennessee Dermatological Society, and the East Tennessee Dermatological Society. He is also affiliated with the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the Knoxville Academy of Medicine.

With accolades such as membership in Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key Honor Society, Dr. Hanggi combines his academic excellence with a passion for patient care. He specializes in delivering personalized dermatologic care, including advanced surgical techniques, to help patients achieve optimal skin health.
