On August 30th, Anne Arundel Dermatology and Dr. Timothy Pearson had the great pleasure of participating in the grand opening of the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute in Ocean Pines. The world-class center offers medical oncology, where patients will receive chemotherapy infusions in one of 12 private treatment areas with ample room for family and friends to join them, as well as their own television to make chemotherapy treatments more comfortable.
The new cancer center offers multi-disciplinary treatment plans designed specifically for each individual patient. The Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute prides itself on offering the very latest in cancer treatments such as immunotherapy, which mobilizes the patient’s own immune system to fight their cancer.
Dr. Timothy Pearson, our leading dermatologist in our Lower Eastern Shore offices, was present to meet and greet community members from Worcester County. One community member said, “The need for a dermatologist in our area is a huge demand. In the past we have had to wait one year to schedule an appointment.” Community members were grateful to hear the coming of AAD’s new Berlin office in early 2018. Until then, Dr. Pearson is currently seeing patients in our temporary location in Salisbury. We will also begin seeing patients in our Ocean Pines office on September 22, 2017.
