Brittany McCarthy, PA-C
Brittany McCarthy, PA-C, MMS, is a board-certified physician assistant born in Newburgh, New York, raised in Sevierville, TN. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Tennessee. She completed her education with a Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at Lincoln Memorial University-School of Medical Sciences. She proudly served as an ambassador at LMU and was a PASSAGE member, where she volunteered at a local clinic to provide free medical care to the underserved community.
She began her healthcare career working in family medicine as a medical assistant; however, she quickly discovered her love for dermatology. She earned her certification as a dermatology technologist and served the Knoxville community for two years prior to pursuing her career as a physician assistant. Currently, she is a member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Dermatology.
Brittany is certified and licensed to diagnose, prescribe, and treat patients of all ages with general dermatologic concerns. Her expertise includes surgical excisions biopsies and diagnosing and treating skin disorders such as skin cancer, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and acne.
In her time away from work, Brittany enjoys cheering on the Volunteers, hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, volunteering in the local community, and spending time with her nephews - who are her pride and joy.
