Lisa Laumann, PA-C is board certified and licensed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in the state of Maryland. She received her physician assistant certification from Anne Arundel Community College, while concurrently receiving her Master’s of Medical Science degree from Saint Frances University.
Lisa’s interest in dermatology began while obtaining clinical experience required for entry into the physician assistant program by working full time as a medical assistant at Anne Arundel Dermatology. During her clinical training year of PA school, her strong interest in skin care led her back to dermatology for one of her elective rotations.
To remain nationally certified, Lisa completes over 100 continuing medical education hours every two years and must retake the board certifying exam every 10 years. Her professional memberships include The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). After thorough training at the surgery center under the supervision of Mohs surgeon Dr. Allan Harrington, she is currently practicing general dermatology under the supervision of Dr. Kelly McGuigan.
