About Dr. Schwartz
Dr. Chelsea Schwartz is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her undergraduate degree in Toxicology and Nutrition from Penn State University before attending medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, PA. Following medical school, Dr. Schwartz completed her internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
After her internship, Dr. Schwartz was hired as a faculty member at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she taught medical students prior to completing her dermatology residency training in Kirksville, MO. During residency, Dr. Schwartz served as chief resident and became the first dermatology resident to also be selected as one of the hospital’s chief residents.
Dr. Schwartz went on to practice general dermatology in St. Louis while serving as faculty with the Still OPTI Dermatology Residency Program in Kirksville, MO. Her clinical interests include skin cancer prevention and procedural dermatology. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, presented posters, and lectured at national conferences.
Outside of dermatology and Mohs surgery, Dr. Schwartz enjoys staying active through weight training, pilates, and boxing. She also loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and their three dogs – George, a goldendoodle; Zer0, a chihuahua; and Penni, a beagle mix.
