Meet Mercy
Mercy is a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner and an active member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (SDNP). After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Mercy worked as a registered nurse for many years in general medicine and surgery before discovering her passion for skin. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University. As a board-certified nurse practitioner, Mercy underwent further specialized dermatologic training at Anne Arundel Dermatology under dermatologist and dermatopathologist, Dr. Cheryl Lonergan, along with a thorough surgical dermatology training program under Mohs surgeon and dermatologist, Dr. Allan Harrington. She sat for the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board exam in 2024 and became a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner.
Mercy’s expertise spans a wide range of dermatologic skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, skin cancer, excisions, moles, rashes, warts, and molluscum.
Mercy is dedicated to all aspects of comprehensive patient care: continued patient education, personalized treatment plans, and fostering meaningful relationships with her patients. She looks forward to providing medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology services to patients in Glen Burnie and Columbia, MD.
