What Does IPL Treat?
IPL delivers pulses of light that target pigment and redness beneath the skin's surface, fading sun spots, calming visible blood vessels, and evening out overall tone. Unlike a single-wavelength laser, IPL uses a broader range of light, which allows it to treat several signs of sun damage and rosacea-related redness in one session.

I have been to several dermatologist that just wasted my time. But they sure charged. Then I found Dr. Miller and my world turned around. Dr. Miller took my case of blisters just come up on my body any and everywhere. No Dr. military or civilian could treat me without coming up with O results. Then I found Dr. Miller at Carolina Skin Care. I had to drive aways but Dr. Miller was the one that cares about her patient's. She took biopsies from my blister and started out to find out what I had. Dr. Miller never gave up. Even working on weekends searching & testing until she came up with a diagnosis . I just figured this was something from the war ( my team was hit with mustard gas) Dr.. Miller stayed at it. After different antibiotics she hit the jackpot. It has been several months and I'm still blister fee. Dr. Miller I'm sure makes the top dollar. She should she really takes on a personal determination to help her patient's. For me she is the most knowledgeable dermatologist that is out there. Dr. Miller you are a saint. I wouldn't go to ANY dermatologist just to Dr. Miller.

I recently had two Moh’s surgery procedures on my face at Skin Cancer Surgery Center with Dr. Montemarano. He explained the procedure fully beforehand, and his calming manner put me at ease to calm my anxiety and made the surgery and close-up go smoothly. Everyone from the scheduling to the receptionist to the assistants are very helpful and courteous, as this is not something you look forward to having done but it’s necessary. I highly recommend Dr. Montemarano and the Skin Cancer Surgery Center of Fairfax!

Brought my 3 year old here to have his birthmark evaluated. They were running about an hour behind- totally fine- it happens. The practitioner we saw was fantastic, thorough, knowledgeable, and very good with my child. My complaint is regarding an undisclosed charge. During his exam she found molluscum lesions- she then applied a topical resin to around 7-10 lesions on his arms. She let me know that it can take up to 3-4 applications to be effective for the lesions (they are still present). I just received the bill for $322.98 for "destruction". I do take responsibility for not asking how much it was going to cost before we've met our deductible. However, it would have been good information to have seeing as I definitely can't commit to 3-4 rounds of $322 for lesions that generally self-resolve.

Best woman of color dermatologist there is! Hands down! I started struggling with acne again in my 30s, and I’ve been seeing Dr. Boswell for about two years now. One thing I’ve learned is that acne treatment is not one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for another. It took some time, patience, and trial and error for us to figure out what worked best for my skin, but we finally got there! I can proudly say I have ZERO bumps on my face, and we’re now working on my hyperpigmentation! I absolutely love this office! Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. The centralization under the Anne Arundel umbrella can make it difficult to contact them directly but once there the level of service is very good. Getting appointments through the central service works well though once one gets to the specific office schedule.

I needed stitches removed. My wait time was a little long but the nurse who removed the stitches was very nice. She did a good job and helped me with another area that needed a new covering that I can’t reach myself. I didn’t need to see the doctor this time which was fine.
