I went to Carolina Skin Care in Pinehurst for MOHS surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. Dr. Malone and her staff treated me like a king. They made sure that I was comfortable and pain free. On the night of the surgery, my wound began to bleed. The bleeding would not stop so I went to the emergency room. They were unable to stop the bleeding and referred me back to Carolina Skin Care with Dr. Malone and her staff. They were able to stop the bleeding before I left. I greater appreciate the care that I received from Dr. Malone and her staff.

This was my second vist. The first visit was 4 yrs ago. The healthcare professional who provided the excellent care last time was Tracey Cloninger PA-C, so I asked if she was available and she was. The service this visit was exceptional once again. My appoitment was scheduled for 10:40am and it was kept (which for a medical office is almost unheard of). The nurse who assisted Tracy was Dorian who did the prep and finish work, answering all my questions about care of the site were the biopsy was. She was very profesdional. If you're having difficulty getting an appoitmebt or your provider is having problems keeping the appointment, next time ask for Tracy and her team.

The location was convenient and easy to find. Parking was plentiful and adjacent to the building housing the clinic. I think the doctor and both nurses who completed my small fiber neuropathy biopsy deserve some sort of award for how absolutely beautifully they did. I am decently medically complex and had a biopsy that some dermatologist never even do. She even made me aware she’s never done a SFN biopsy before but is going to do everything by the instructions that the kits company provided and took every single step very very importantly. They worked as a well oiled machine and made my experience a lot more comfortable given how nervous I felt. Absolutely 10/10 experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better appointment

After the retirement of my longtime dermatologist, I sought out a new doctor in my area. After a considerable search, I decided to see Dr. Umer Ansari. I completed my first visit with him today. Dr. Ansari is a young, thorough, and professional doctor. He took time to explain the issues that I presented, and treatment was completed in short order. I was very impressed by his knowledge and approach to treatment. I would recommend him highly to anyone searching for a dermatologist in the northern Baltimore or Towson area. Good visit. Long wait due to new software system. Being in IT, the data was not ported over correctly leaving the staff to enter the data. Understood that even the first and last names were switched and the staff had to change themselves. Before the next office is upgraded, I suggest the implementation plan be changed to perform more robust data conversion testing. This suggestion is made based on my 30 years in IT. The visit with Kevin Blazer was great and his assistant was wonderful. They answered all my questions very well.

Brought my 3 year old here to have his birthmark evaluated. They were running about an hour behind- totally fine- it happens. The practitioner we saw was fantastic, thorough, knowledgeable, and very good with my child. My complaint is regarding an undisclosed charge. During his exam she found molluscum lesions- she then applied a topical resin to around 7-10 lesions on his arms. She let me know that it can take up to 3-4 applications to be effective for the lesions (they are still present). I just received the bill for $322.98 for "destruction". I do take responsibility for not asking how much it was going to cost before we've met our deductible. However, it would have been good information to have seeing as I definitely can't commit to 3-4 rounds of $322 for lesions that generally self-resolve.
