Updated Review (Friday, 02/06/2026) First engagement (AAD Call Center – 5/5 stars) I contacted Anne Arundel Dermatology (AAD) December 2025 to seek out a PA that I worked with 8yrs ago. That PA has since moved on to their own practice. The call center representative was gracious and listened well to what I needed (e.g. I had tight timeframe; they helped identify possible solutions). They identified a PA who was available during the timeframe and who had completed similar procedures, so that I could likely move more easily from the initial consultation to the procedure. Second engagement (Somil Metha, PA-C – 1/5 stars) My initial consultation at AAD-Greenbelt. I met with Somil Metha, PA-C. Initially, I felt well-served during the appointment, and I left a Google-review immediately afterward stating five stars. However, what I learned in the five hours following my appointment with Somil is that I was not actually served well during this appointment. Long story short: I was referred out to physicians outside of the network (why? I don’t know); it was implied that these referrals were warm-handoffs (when they were indeed cold referrals; I would have to start from scratch with a brand-new consultation); and the follow up for these referrals, along with the calls that afternoon to AAD to figure out ‘what is going on here?’ took up the remainder of that Monday (five hours). The run-around with the next steps, resulting in exhausted time, energy, and resources – truly a 0/5. Third/Fourth Engagements (Customer Service Center – 5/5 stars; Helena at the AAD-Greenbelt office – 20/5 stars) In the five hours after the consult with Somil, I spoke with the AAD Call Center twice. While I didn’t get the name of the first call center person I spoke to, he was kind, helpful, asked good clarifying questions to ensure he got things done right the first time. He provided clear timelines of when I could expect to hear back regarding my questions. The second person I spoke to works directly in the dermatology office where I first visited, Helena. Helena is a godsend. Within one call, she professionally acknowledged that things should have been handled differently for me earlier in the day, and got everything back on track. NOTE: it is a super skill to acknowledge when a company/person has dropped the ball, and to do so without throwing them under the bus, or airing grievances that the client doesn’t need to be a part of, AND to get things immediately back on track and moving forward – Helena did ALL this, and more, within about 15-20min of the call I had with her. Thank you, Helena. I was heard, acknowledged, and supported. Helena asked clarifying questions, literally hand-walked the issue at hand within the office to get the needed answers and next steps, and then got me immediately scheduled with a PA who was immediately available and also skilled in the procedure I needed. Fifth/Sixth/Seventh Engagements (Taj Richardson, PA-C – 20/5 stars; Taj’s support team, all 3 appts – 15/5 stars) From the initial consultation, to the procedure itself, to the post-procedure follow-up: wow-o-wow, did I land in the most capable, supportive, professional care. The initial consultation was thorough. Taj is professional, kind, engaging, informative, and she listens and asks questions in a way that ensures all points have been covered and nothing is unclear to either her or the patient. The procedure itself – while I would guess that what, to me, felt like Taj putting in extra care and attention, is actually just her everyday professionalism and approach to her work, is how genuinely cared for I felt under her care. Here I am on the other side, 2.5wks later, and there is hardly even a scar; the wound site remained infection-free; and the area that needed to be treated is smooth, pain-free, and completely cleared. The staff that support Taj, from the initial consultation, the procedure itself, to the post-op follow-up: all incredible too, and follow in her professional, attentive, patient-engaged footsteps. Taj & Staff: You are all appreciated.

I NEVER write a review… However, what an exceptional experience my husband and I had today. We were greeted with smiles and such a knowledgeable staff/practice. If I could give a 10 ⭐️ I would. Dr Hand was WONDERFUL, warm and welcoming and her Nurse Coni was just a love!!! Oh…and the office is super beautiful and pristine. Thank you to everyone here for making our experience so fantastic!

Today was my first experience here at Academic alliance in Dermatology the doctor was amazing. He was very understanding. He gave me a lot of tips on things that I should not eat at the moment due to the allergy reaction that I had the two beautiful women at the front desk was also amazing. They also gave me some information that was very helpful and also gave me some samples for my skin.

A most positive experience from my first call to the office to schedule an appointment, to calling with questions and then to receiving treatment. All staff were courteous and professional while exhibiting a friendly demeanor.

This visit was very easy to schedule. They had an early opening for me to get in quickly. The dermatologist was very nice and was concerned about a spot on my head, they took a biopsy of it to have it checked for cancer.

Great experience! My procedure was throughly explained along with aftercare instructions and helpful suggestions for longterm care. Trina was fantastic and I would definitely recommend her and this Spa!

The people, the facility and the treatment is top notch. Every member of the team did their very best to make an unpleasant experience as tolerable as possible. The results of my surgery are beyond my wildest expectations. Every thing that occurred post surgery had already been explained to me in detail so there were no surprises. Every year I get in there to get checked out. Been going to them for about 10 years. The always do a thorough check and the Doc's are very pleasant to deal with. As a person who has never used sunscreen very much, it's a big deal! Life is good, enjoy the days you are given in good health!

I want to take a moment to applaud Michelle Brown. Over the years, I've been to several dermatologists and have had both good and not-so-good experiences. Michelle took the time to thoroughly examine every concern, and I left feeling like I had one of the most comprehensive annual skin exams I've ever received. She was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, informative, and genuinely delightful throughout the entire visit. The front office was well organized, and the entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. My husband and I have been very satisfied with Atlantic Dermatology. The Dermatologist have been very diligent in finding skin problems we may have had.

The Mount Airy office of Anne Arundel Dermatology has been our Go-To place for several years. I have 2 girls 4 years apart and my youngest daughter recently asked to try some alternative acne treatments. We were very pleased to have not one but two different medications as options offered by Amy Spangler. We made sure to make a follow-up appointment right away so we can follow-up under the timeframe that she recommended. Appointments can seem difficult to find in under 3 weeks, but they are usually able to offer alternative appointment times if you call back within a week or so later. I highly recommend this practice which has had Dr. Germanas at the helm since my oldest daughter was an adolescent.

No wait at all. The staff was respectful and courteous. All my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. Dr. Clarke and her assistant made me feel that my worries were valid, and I left feeling that she was going to treat the issue, and not the symptoms.

This was my first visit to the establishment, and the experience was thoroughly positive from check-in to check-out.

I had an issue with a concerning very dark mole. I easily made an appt for the next day! Semhar was delightful, caring, and responded to my issues quickly. She thoroughly explained everything. As retired nurse practitioner, I’m always willing to see an NP!

I easily and quickly got an appointment. The staff were very nice! The nurse even held my hand when I had to get a lidocaine injection and helped calm my nerves. I have a four week follow up to confirm that my issue is solved but so far so good!

I had a truly wonderful experience with Dr. Giblin. He performed a cyst excision for me and from the very beginning, I felt I was in excellent hands. He took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process and patiently answered all of my questions, which greatly eased my concerns. During the procedure, he consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable. His calm and reassuring manner made the whole experience much easier than I had expected. After the procedure, he carefully reviewed the wound care instructions step by step to ensure I fully understood how to take care of myself at home. I was especially touched that he personally called me later that evening to check on how I was doing. That level of care truly meant a great deal to me. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him. I think you all have a great office staff and doctors. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. And I even got to joke around which I think is very important because for me it makes me feel more comfortable and feel like a person when there are great interactions like that. Tinuke and her team are amazing! I've been seeing her since 2023, and I came in with concerns about early signs of acne. Even though my acne wasn’t severe, I was worried my concerns might be dismissed because it was very minimal but she completely understood and validated how I was feeling. Since then, my skin has transformed and now has a healthy, glowing look. Of course, I still get occasional breakouts (age-related), but I always feel reassured knowing I can count on her for support and honest guidance. Highly recommend!

I couldn't wait to share my review here of Carolina Skin Care, in Pinehurst, NC!! My experience was most excellent. This facility provided me with a wonderful staff of professional and expert dermatology. My procedure was performed by Dr. Benjamin Norton who did a terrific job! Dr. Norton deserves many kudos for making me feel relaxed and for having the best bedside manner. I sometimes don't enjoy going to the doctor's (who does, really?!), but he made me feel comfortable and quite at ease. He let me know what he was doing, answered questions, had a nice sense of humor, and a nice jazzy soundtrack to listen to during the operation. Dr. Norton is incredibly cool and marvelous in his field!! His assistant made them the perfect team. They were expert in their capacities, with affable personalities that made the whole experience go down easily!! Today, I went back and had my stitches removed by Maria, and she was so great. The entire staff of professional skin care specialists are top notch! And the receptionists are wonderful as well. I cannot help but give, Carolina Skin Care, rave reviews for their attention, expertise, personalities, and care! Thank you, everyone!!!!

I was looking for a new dermatology practice and I have found it! I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The exam was extremely thorough and the staff is very attentive. I went to the office in Havre de Grace and highly recommend!

Didn’t wait long at all to get seen. Saw Dr Murphy, who very apparently cares about clients. Got clear answers to all my questions, and just overall quick and solid care (shoutout again to how quick/efficient they are - so used to blocking hours out of the day for any other doctor’s appointment, but I was in & out and on with my day with some real progress)

The location was convenient and easy to find. Parking was plentiful and adjacent to the building housing the clinic. The staff was extremely professional and considerate; nobody goes to get skin cancer surgery for the fun of it - and the natural apprehension of these procedures is so much easier to manage when those attending are so courteous and helpful in answering questions etc. Two thumbs up and well done to the team.

So I’m a honest reviewer. If they don’t earn it I don’t just give 5 stars. This place deserves 10! So so pleasant. My son sees PA Brittany and she is so wonderful. So kind, she listens very well, she thoroughly answers and explains things wonderfully. She has helped my son with his hormonal and bacterial acne so much. We have nothing negative to say about this place. Also- they are very good with getting you in at your appointment time.

This was my first experience with Mohs surgery and I didn't know what to expect. The team was professional, kind, and confident which certainly set me at ease. They explained the procedure at every step which was much appreciated. I really enjoyed how the team and doctor involved me with conversation and the technical aspect of the procedure. My Husband and I saw Dr Michele Brown and her entire staff today, for the very first time. So nice to be greeted by pleasant caring staff, as well as being worked up by their support staff, then Dr Brown came in. She was knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. Looked us both over. Took care of some skin tags and things. The whole thing under an hour. No waiting what an amazing concept for a doctor's office. We strongly recommend and we will be back in 6 months. The Dr, I believe her name is Ann is the GOAT. I will never go to another Dr for my skin issues. She knows her stuff. I was called within 5 minutes of my appointment to come to the back, which is unheard of in a Doctors office. Ive gone to many other dermatologists and was extremely disappointed, but she gave me hope again in my skin issues. I recommend her to EVERYONE. She is straight forward, her treatment strategy is effective and she is super nice and funny. Everyone go to her! Her and her staff make it the best experience ever. My husband was so impressed, he even wanted to go for his skin issues.

Then Ismeta came to bring me back to the room right away and I cannot properly express how warm her presence was. I’ve had these tiny bumps on my chin for years. Ive seen a slew of providers, and I’ve been told it is acne, hormonal acne, fungal acne, that I need an exfoliant, that I need a different type of exfoliant, etc. I’ve tried every product you can imagine. I saw Jennifer Roop Thursday of this week. Within seconds, she said it was perioral dermatitis and prescribed a topical treatment. Two days later my face has almost cleared completely. I am so shocked and so excited that I finally have a method to clear this up. Thank you!!

I am totally satisfied with his medical examinations. However, trying to get in touch by phone became a horror show since he became part of the larger group. The first call said there was a 39 minute wait time. I was able to leave a message to be called later. I was unable to answer the return call, but a message was left on my machine. Unfortunately, the message started skipping and I could not hear all of the new phone number to be called. My second call soon got the recorded message announcing the wait time as one minute. It then kept repeating the one minute wait time message over and over and over. After 5 minutes of this, I hung up. On my third try, the recording said over and over and over that the wait time was the 8 minutes. After getting frustrated again, I was about to hang up when suddenly the call was answered--by a lady who sounded very, very bored with her job.

Dr. Katz is very professional and explains the information that you need to know very clearly. The assistants and staff are very helpful. All and all the best dermatologist I’ve seen.

I've been a patient of Dr. Miller now for over 7yrs & I will say, not only is the staff there Fantastic, the customer service is next level in my opinion! Dr. Miller has the best bedside manner of ANY Dr I've came in contact with. He just has a way of making you feel so comfortable & heard! The treatment was incredible. The doctor listened to me patiently and was very clear in his explanations and treatment recommendations. I arrived a few minutes late, and I have to thank them for taking care of me despite this. The receptionists were very friendly. I recommend it.

I was made to feel welcome from the second I walked up to the door. The news wasn't what I wanted. They made me feel like it was going to ok. My nurse and doctor were great. Like most people I don't care for needles or pain, and they helped a chicken old man feel at ease the whole time!!!

My family and I have been using Dermatology and Mohs for several years now. Making appointments is very easy, there are enough doctors so you're not waiting weeks to see someone. The staff is friendly, my experience has always been little to no wait time in the office and I've never felt rushed by the doctors while seeing them. Shout out to Dr. Kushner, he has a great bedside manner and is very intelligent. He was able to help me when several other derms from other practices were not. Go see these doctors you won't be disappointed.

The entire staff is very pleasant and efficient. I had to drive to Suffolk which is an hour away from my usual office.
