Meet Alexa

Alexa M. Toohey, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care since 2018. Before joining Anne Arundel Dermatology, Alexa worked at Johns Hopkins Dermatology, where she cared for patients with a wide range of complex skin conditions. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She also received the Dean’s Award for academic excellence in her graduate studies. Alexa began her nursing career at Georgetown University Hospital in 2012, where she spent six years as a Clinical Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University. Outside of work, Alexa enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family. She looks forward to meeting you.
