What Does Dermaplaning Treat?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation treatment that removes the outermost layer of dead skin along with fine vellus hair, often called peach fuzz. Without that buildup, skin looks brighter, feels smoother, and absorbs skincare products more effectively. Many patients also notice a softer look to fine lines and a more even skin texture. Because it clears away surface buildup, dermaplaning is often used to prepare the skin before a hydrafacial, allowing for better product penetration. It's also a popular monthly treatment on its own, giving skin a fresh, healthy glow between other treatments. Makeup tends to apply more smoothly afterward too.

Dr. Prussick is an excellent dermatologist and I have used him for years. But since he became part of Ann Arundel Dermatology it is almost impossible to reach the practice. They put you on hold for 10 minutes and then the call drops. Or, you select the 'call back' option but they don't call you back. A few months ago I gave up and found another dermatologist for an emergency infection. Recently, it took 3 days for a prescription to be sent to the pharmacy which is not local. It has been a week and I have heard nothing about its being filled. I gave up trying to contact the practice. I bought an over the counter option and hope it will work. If I hadn't been using this doctor for so many years I would be looking for someone else.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Kang for over 15 years at AA Dermatology. It's a little tougher to get in quickly to see him as he's usually booked at least 3 weeks out, but he's worth the wait if it's not urgent. The office staff is pleasant but I wait at least 10 minutes on hold every time calling the office before I am able to speak with someone. Overall, it's a great office experience and we will continue to see Dr. Kang.
