⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Dermatology Care — Dr. Rachel Orleans This was my second visit with Rachel Orleans, MD, MPH, and I continue to be extremely impressed with the quality of care I am receiving. Dr. Orleans is knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and genuinely attentive to my concerns. She has been doing an outstanding job treating my CCCA, and I am very pleased with the progress of my treatment so far. I appreciate having a dermatologist who is knowledgeable about CCCA and takes the time to explain my treatment and address my concerns. I feel confident in the care I am receiving and would highly recommend Dr. Orleans to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dermatologist. ⭐ Dr. Orleans and her clinical care: 5/5 stars! I would, however, give the billing office 3/5 stars. I paid $70.00 upfront in coinsurance/out-of-pocket costs, but my insurance ultimately paid the claim at 100%. According to my records, BCBS issued an EFT payment on July 26, 2026. I would appreciate having someone from the billing department review the account and process my $70.00 refund as soon as possible. Overall, I am very happy with my treatment and the care I am receiving from Dr. Orleans. I hope the billing issue can be resolved promptly so that my overall experience reflects the excellent medical care I have received.

I had an amazing experience with Sharnel Reed! My laser treatment was quick, efficient, and completed in about 15–20 minutes from start to finish. Sharnel was incredibly kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure. She explained everything clearly, had a very calming presence, and made the whole experience stress-free. I truly appreciated how smooth and easy the appointment was. This was my initial visit with Dr. Taj Richardson, whom I discovered through ZocDoc. I'm very pleased with my choice. The office appears to be newly renovated and is exceptionally clean. The staff was remarkably welcoming, and the doctor saw me promptly. She was an excellent listener, very informative, and attentive. Her demeanor was both friendly and professional. Locating a dermatologist in PG County can be challenging, and I'm happy to have found her.

As usual my experience with Mrs Cheater was exceptional.

I could not get an appointment at the office in Shallotte where I am a current patient until my next skin check appointment which was another 3 months away. After 2 calls for appointments, they suggested there was an opening at Whiteville. After a 50 minute drive, I was seen by Sydney Pierce, P.A. and she biopsied a possible squamous cell ca on my arm. I was back on the road in 20 minutes. Sydney was great! I appreciate the opportunity to be seen in Whiteville! I will probably make the trip back to Whiteville for treatment. They need more staff in Shallotte but Atlantic Derm in Whiteville was great!

Overall great experience. The service they use to book appointments and acquire documents online works fast and smoothly. Front desk was warm and welcoming. I waited about ten minutes which was no big deal. The physician quickly assessed my concerns and made sure I understood her explanation/diagnosis. I booked another appointment as a follow up and was on my way. My only suggestion would be maybe some light music playing in the waiting room. A little too quiet in there:) They offer a wide variety of services and this review was only for a skin cancer check.

I went to Carolina Skin Care in Pinehurst for MOHS surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. Dr. Malone and her staff treated me like a king. They made sure that I was comfortable and pain free. On the night of the surgery, my wound began to bleed. The bleeding would not stop so I went to the emergency room. They were unable to stop the bleeding and referred me back to Carolina Skin Care with Dr. Malone and her staff. They were able to stop the bleeding before I left. I greater appreciate the care that I received from Dr. Malone and her staff.

If you have skin issues and other dermatologist have not successfully treated your issues, give Dr. Boswell of Atlantic Dermatology a try. I am very pleased with the treatment plan she has provided on first try. The office staff is pleasant and attentive. The facility is clean and inviting. I highly recommend Dr. Boswell.

My daughter managed to basically tattoo herself on the face due to a mishap with a sharpened pencil. I called around to every derm office in the area who either didn't answer or had a 3+ month long wait list. This practice picked up and when I explained the situation managed to get my daughter a same-day appointment. The front desk ladies were super sweet and the doctor was reassuring and took a measured, non-invasive approach. Left feeling a lot better!

I highly recommend Whitney! I have been her patient for 2 years and have complete faith and trust in her dermatology knowledge, surgery skills and treatment plans. She is also extremely thorough in her skin exams. Twice she has identified skin cancers that were missed by a previous dermatologist. She is very personable, as was her medical assistant, and does not rush my appointments.

I've been a patient for over 2 years. The front office staff is courteous and efficient. I see Charu for all my aesthetic services. She is knowledgeable, and has integrity and insures I don't go overboard when I request services that aren't in my best interest. Bottom line... natural and refreshing results. Charu has a great "chair side" manner.

While surgery is never a fun experience, I can’t speak highly enough of SCSC. The receptionists worked with me on multiple occasions to ensure my paperwork was on file, and consistently provided clear guidance. When it came time for surgery, Dr. Montemarano’s skill was so apparent. It is rare to find a doctor with such a wonderful combination of medical talent and bedside manner. He went above and beyond (in what I’m sure was a long day for him) to perform my surgeries in a way that worked best for me. He made me feel comfortable, explained every step clearly, and even called to check up on me after surgery. Shreya was an absolute professional the entire day, and went out of her way multiple times to ensure my comfort and make my surgery a success. She fielded all my questions, even tracking down additional team members for information when needed. I’ve never felt like my health was taken so seriously, and really appreciate the entire team! Thanks for taking care of me.

Dr Zook is a wonderful doctor, easy to speak with and has a great memory and sense of humor. He even convinced me to stop doing DIY surgery and I shall. Although he complimented my skill. In the last year I have had over 100 appointments with various doctors but I enjoy these because everyone is so kind and concerned. When I told my oncologist that Dr Zook did my skin surgery he commented that I had chosen the best. I sincerely thank The Academic Academy of Dermatology for their treatment. All of the staff should be commended for their professionalism, dedication and happy smiles. They are a credit to the franchise and you will be happy with your results. This practice is truly amazing! I was able to be seen in such a timely manner, the front desk staff is beyond welcoming, and the med assistants are all super kind. I saw Dr. Gooray and she was so thorough with the exam and answered my many questions. This place and its staff surpass my expectations. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed with the organization and professionalism of the staff. My only complaint is be prepared to complete additional paperwork upon arriving. Once you are taken back, they do take the necessary time to address your concerns and give you what I feel is good advice for what you may be needing to address. They are kind when you arrive, punctual in the time of attending, attentive, empathetic which is very important I had also seen other Dermatologists but no one had helped me Dr. Maben is the only one who has helped me even they help you with the approval of your medications thanks to them my confidence, safety has improved because my skin has improved too much and my eczema already lets me sleep and I was able to leave the house with confidence and security again and by the way I have been with the Doctor for almost 1 year waiting for the review

UPDATE August 2026: Rating still stands. The staff here is so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Anne Arundel Dermatology. The everyone is friendly and welcoming. I was able to get a new patient appointment within a month, and when I needed to be seen again, I was able to schedule an appointment within a short and reasonable amount of time. During the appointment, the Dermatologist listened to my concerns and discussed treatment options and procedures in a way that was easy to understand. I left each appointment feeling very well taken care of by the staff at Anne Arundel Dermatology.

All staff is extremely nice from the minute you step in the door to the minute you walk out the door. They take care of every need and help you understand everything. They go the extra mile in seconds without hesitation. Love them! I see Holly Musgrove and she is a life safe for sure! My situation is extremely complex to say the least but she hit it head on and didn't just refer me out like most Doctors do. Will not ever use anyone else!!!

Been going here for years. McDaniel practically erased the dog bite scar I have on my lip. I was terrified to get any procedures done, but after lots of research I settled on Dr. McDaniel because of his experience and expertise. The current doctor was personally trained and shadowed by him for quite some time before he fully retired. She clearly love what she does and she’s very very skilled at it. The skincare gal is also amazing! The whole staff makes the experience top notch.

Get a referral here. I was seen two days later, and was treated to remove a cyst two days later. Michelle Brown treated me, and it was a 30 minute affair. Highly recommended

Recently arrived in the area and needed to see a dermatologist. Walked in to see how long it would take to get an appointment as a new patient. Tracy at the front desk was friendly and efficient and went beyond what I expected by finding an opening to get me in immediately. She helped with all the forms required and within less than 15 minutes I was with the Doctor who was very personable and efficient. Great example of how front desk staff can make a positive impact!

Excellent practice. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and was greeted by helpful and curtious staff. There was virtually no wait after my new patient paperwork was completed. I was taken directly to a visit room and the nurse efficiently took my information. A few minutes later the doctor arrived for the exam. All of my concerns were addressed. The entire process took less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend Anne Arundel Dermatology.

My 1st Dermatologist visit in my life and she made my visit very comfortable and caring

Dr. Momtemarano was amazing. One of the best doctor experiences I've had.... ever. I went in for a potentially unpleasant experience, a cancer biopsy of a badly discolored pinkie toe nail, which I was told beforehand would involve drilling into it or removal of the entire nail. In the end, he did pry off and pull out the entire nail and then slice into the tissue underneath to get a biopsy sample. The thing that hurt the most was the anaesthesia injection. Despite the invasiveness of it all, my primary experience of it was, "wow, what a confident, competent, calming and friendly presence this doctor is!" He has a super warm bedside manner, as well as an extraordinary ability to explain complex things, listen actively and respond, and instill a sense of comfort. He was great. I'd go back in tomorrow to have another toenail removed just for the good conversation.

Staff is very friendly and clear with any instructions. Less than a 5 minute wait once I was checked-in. I highly recommend having a skin check once a year. The procedure is only about 10 minutes .

Dr Blake Childress and his staff was amazing with my daughter. I would highly recommend him for pediatric appointments. I had an appointment with Julie the first of this month. I have been seeing her for years now, and have never been let down. I went to the office in Rockingham, and cannot say enough good things about all the staff. But, somebody needs to take that "burnie" thing away from her. She came in the exam room with that thing strapped to her waist and hanging low. She drew it, burned me, and had in back on her side before I knew what was going on......... I had great care and enjoyed myself a lot, cannot say that about many Doctors office. Thanks to everyone there and keep up the good job. Fred
