Mohs surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, so you can go home the same day. Plan to set aside most of the day, as the number of surgical stages needed cannot be predicted in advance. Most procedures take several hours; more complex cases may take longer.

I had an appointment with Julie the first of this month. I have been seeing her for years now, and have never been let down. I went to the office in Rockingham, and cannot say enough good things about all the staff. But, somebody needs to take that "burnie" thing away from her. She came in the exam room with that thing strapped to her waist and hanging low. She drew it, burned me, and had in back on her side before I knew what was going on......... Awesome dermatologist office in St. Pete. I had 3 moles and a skin tag that needed to be removed. I made an appointment online with Dr. Trent and it was the easiest appointment I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and I was brought back at my appointment time. Dr. Trent was very knowledgeable and explained each spot I was concerned with. She then was able to remove what I wanted in the same appointment and made sure my insurance covered it. I will be coming back and will be recommending this place to friends and family. Highly recommend Dr. Ferrera. The office staff and others providing care here are also very friendly and explain everything clearly. You don’t feel rushed through your visit and they listen to any questions you have and walk you through your treatment options. I’d tried a few other places before, I always felt like I was being rushed through the appointments and unheard. They always wanted to kinda just write me a topical for my psoriasis and send me out the door instead of actually talking to me about what’s working or not. Best woman of color dermatologist there is! Hands down! I started struggling with acne again in my 30s, and I’ve been seeing Dr. Boswell for about two years now. One thing I’ve learned is that acne treatment is not one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for another. It took some time, patience, and trial and error for us to figure out what worked best for my skin, but we finally got there! I was pleasantly surprised when the office even called to offer me an earlier appointment. When I arrived, check-in was quick and I had hardly any wait time. I only waited a few minutes before Danielle came into the room. She quickly diagnosed the spot on my forearm that had been bothering and concerning me, and she also took the time to look at a few other areas I was worried about. I wish their phone system would allow direct access to the Wheaton office - if there's a way, I haven't discovered it.
